Dr. Meisha K. Abbasinejad, MD
Founding Member & Physician
Dr. Meisha K. Abbasinejad is a founding member of Cape Fear Physical Medicine and Rehab and a pillar of the Fayetteville medical community. Having practiced in Fayetteville, NC for over 18 years, she established the clinic in 2005 with a vision for comprehensive rehabilitative care.
Her specialized clinical approach focuses heavily on functional restoration, with particular areas of interest in musculoskeletal medicine, precise spinal procedures, and advanced electrodiagnostics. Recognizing the vital link between physical mechanics and systemic wellness, Dr. Abbasinejad is also board-certified in Obesity Medicine, allowing her to provide whole-body strategies that reduce joint strain and vastly improve her patients’ overall quality of life.
Sarah Maltba, MSN, FNP-C
Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Sarah Maltba brings over 16 years of expansive healthcare experience to Cape Fear Physical Medicine and Rehab. Her background is rooted in critical and high-acuity care, including 12 years serving as a hospital nurse specializing in trauma, step-down, telemetry, and perioperative care. A natural clinical leader, she has also served as a charge nurse, float pool nurse, and preceptor mentoring new nurses and staff.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Shenandoah University in 2007, graduating Cum Laude, before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at South University in 2021. Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Sarah is dedicated to providing compassionate, exceptionally patient-centered care to every individual who walks through our doors.
